YOU REMEMBER WHAT IT FELT LIKE.
When you could go for a run without worrying about your knee. Play football at the weekend and not spend the next three days recovering. Train in the gym without thinking about your back. Or simply get out of bed, bend down, play with the kids and enjoy life without having to think twice about every movement.
Then something changed.
Maybe you picked up an injury. Maybe an old problem started coming back. Or maybe you've spent so long putting up with aches, stiffness and discomfort that you've forgotten what it feels like to move freely. You started doing less. Stopped certain exercises. Missed a few games. And before you knew it, you'd lost some of the strength, fitness and confidence you used to have.
It's not just the pain that's frustrating. It's everything you've stopped doing because of it.
Let us help you get it back.
Who we help
Sound familiar?
Whatever your goal, there's something you want to get back to doing. That's where we start.
Don't let pain decide what you can do.
You've probably been told to rest. Maybe you've tried massage, physio appointments, stretching or exercises you found online. Some things helped for a while. But having less pain doesn't always mean your body is ready for the demands of sport, exercise or everyday activity.
How do you go from having an injury to actually being ready to exercise again?
Pain
The gap
Performance
That's the gap Pain2Performance is designed to bridge.
Introducing Pain2Performance
Your personalised 6 week journey from injury towards strength, confidence & performance.
At Instinct, we bring physiotherapy and coached rehabilitation together. You'll work with Costa, our physiotherapist, alongside our coaching team. We'll assess your injury, understand what you want to achieve and build a plan around your current ability.
Your programme combines physiotherapy, hands on treatment where appropriate, rehabilitation exercises and coached strength training, progressing you towards the activities you want to return to.
One team. One personalised plan. Your goals at the centre of everything we do.
What's included?
1
Comprehensive physiotherapy assessment
A 90-minute consultation covering your injury history, movement, strength, physical limitations and goals. We'll establish your starting point and create your rehabilitation plan.

Six weekly 45-minute sessions with Costa to monitor your recovery, provide appropriate hands-on treatment and progress your rehabilitation.
12

Why Instinct?
We don't just want to help you feel better. We want to help you get back to doing what you love.
There's a reason we created Pain2Performance. We know what it's like when an injury stops you doing something important.
Before opening Instinct, Brendan suffered a serious back injury that ended his fighting career.
What followed was years of pain, frustration and trying to find a way forward. He understands how much an injury can affect your confidence, your physical health and your everyday life, and how important it is to have somebody who genuinely wants to help you get back.
That's why Pain2Performance brings physiotherapy and coaching together.
Physiotherapy and strength coaching under one roof
You don't have to finish your physiotherapy and then figure out how to get back into training by yourself. Your treatment and rehabilitation are connected.
Your own rehabilitation plan
We're not handing everybody the same exercises. Your programme is designed around your injury, your goals and what you're currently capable of.
Support from treatment to training
You'll have a physiotherapist and coaches working together to help you progress. Your sessions have a purpose, with your rehabilitation guiding the exercises you do.
Built around real life after 40
We're used to helping adults in their 40s, 50s and 60s. We know you've got jobs, families, responsibilities and a life outside the gym. Your plan needs to work around that.
You're not just another appointment
We want to know what matters to you. What you've stopped doing. What you miss. And what getting back there would mean.
The goal isn't to complete a few sessions. It's to help you make progress towards getting your life back.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IF I'M STILL IN PAIN?
That's one of the reasons we start with a physiotherapy assessment. Costa will discuss your symptoms, assess your condition and determine whether the programme is suitable.
Some people can begin gentle rehabilitation while they're still experiencing discomfort. Others may need further assessment or a different approach before starting coached exercise. We won't push you into training that isn't appropriate for your injury.
WILL I BE PAIN FREE IN SIX WEEKS?
Everyone's injury and recovery journey is different, so we can't promise you'll be completely pain free in six weeks. What we can promise is a personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan focused on reducing your pain, improving your movement and rebuilding your strength so you can get back to doing what you love.
IS THIS JUST FOR SPORTS INJURIES?
Not at all. We help adults dealing with back pain, knee problems, shoulder injuries, joint stiffness, muscle strains and everyday aches and pains. Whether you're recovering from an injury, struggling with ongoing discomfort or simply want to move and feel better, we're here to help.
WHAT IF I HAVEN'T EXERCISED FOR YEARS?
That's absolutely fine. You don't need to be fit or have any gym experience to get started. We meet you where you are, assess what you're currently capable of and gradually build your strength, mobility and confidence at a pace that's right for you.
DO I HAVE TO TRAIN IN A GROUP?
No. Your rehabilitation is personalised to you. You'll receive individual physiotherapy treatment and coached strength sessions designed around your injury, ability and goals. You won't be expected to keep up with anyone else.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SIX WEEKS?
Our goal isn't just to help you feel better for six weeks. It's to help you stay better.
We'll review your progress, reassess your movement and strength, and recommend the next steps. Whether that's continuing rehabilitation, moving into regular strength and fitness training or following your own programme, we'll help you build on the progress you've made.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM BOOKING A NORMAL PHYSIO APPOINTMENT?
A traditional physio appointment often focuses on assessing and treating your immediate problem.
Our six week Pain2Performance Programme goes further.
We combine physiotherapy, hands-on treatment, a personalised rehabilitation plan and coached strength training to help you move beyond pain and rebuild your physical confidence.
Rather than simply treating the symptoms and sending you away with exercises, we work with you throughout the six weeks to help you improve your strength, movement and ability to return to the activities you enjoy.
IMAGINE GETTING BACK TO DOING WHAT YOU LOVE.
Going for a run again. Getting back to the gym. Playing your favourite sport. Keeping up with the kids or grandchildren.
Or simply waking up feeling more confident about what your body can do.
Maybe it's been months since you felt like that. Maybe it's been years.
You don't have to figure everything out yourself. You just need a sensible place to start and people who genuinely care about helping you progress.
YOUR INJURY DOESN'T HAVE TO DEFINE WHAT YOU DO NEXT.
LET'S GET YOU MOVING TOWARDS WHAT MATTERS TO YOU.
